Swedish born illustrator and textile artist.

Maja Björk has a Master’s degree in Textiles from Konstfack University (2024) and a Bachelor’s degree from Glasgow School of Art in Textile Design (2016).  Her work has been exhibited in solo- and group exhibitions internationally, including Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, the UK and Sweden. Highlights being Oak Island Gallery, during Stockholm Craft Week (2023); Ojdå, Palermo (2023); Loophole, Berlin (2022); Zukunft am Ostkreuz, Berlin (2020); Kraftwerk Bille, Hamburg (2018); Karlskrona Konsthall, Karlskrona (2016); Hub Sleaford, Sleaford (2016), Skypark, Glasgow (2016)

Her comics have been published in Berliner Fenster (DE), Samandal (LB), MAL (SE), Zwischentext (CH) and Lovelove magazine (F)

She has been awarded grants from Karlskrona municipality, J.L. Eklund Crafts Foundation, Estrid Ericsson Foundation, Fredrika Bremer Förbundets Stipendiestiftelse. She has also participated in artist residences in Lithuania, Turkey and Bulgaria.
